So this week's Kit was definitely a girly inspired one with some very pretty Echo Park and My Minds Eye papers. I had some very cute photos of our friend's daughter Lucy that were perfect to scrap with this Kit.
I used the pale pink floral side of the My Minds Eye 'Sisters' papers as my base and inked the edges with some Distress Ink. I then cut a 10.5" square of the pink Bazzill, border punched one edge and then stuck that down onto the 'Sisters' paper (keeping it over to the right side). Over this I mounted a 7.5" x 9.5" piece of the Echo Park 'Windchime' paper, using the bright pink side and ensuring I had the fancy scroll on the lefthand side. I again border punched the left edge and then inked all of the edges before sticking down.
I attached my photos (one 4" x 6", two 1 7/8" x 1 7/8", two 1 3/4" x 2") onto the paper, though I mounted the two smallest photos onto some of the 'Sisters' paper first.
Then I made the banner with the grey Bazzill and the striped side of the My Minds Eye 'Sisters' paper using a banner punch of mine. I hung them together with a piece of bakers twine from my stash and attached it to the top left corner of the pink Bazzill. You can see the tiny butterflies that I punched out and attached to the pink Bazzill as I just wanted something to stop it from looking too plain.
To embellish I used 3 of the flowers (coloured with Copic markers to match the papers) and attached them below my smallest photos. Then I took a strip of the Echo Park 'Windchime' paper and pleated it before attaching just below the bigger photos (I used Glossy Accents to stick it down as it dries quickly and is strong!).
To finish off I used the Glitz Teeny Alphas that came with the Kit for the title, combined with some black letters from my own stash.
You can get this Kit for a limited time at the Pages of Memories Online Store. Have a look at the monthly subscription offer as it saves you money!
Thanks for looking!
